No matter whether it is to add a new bathroom in a basement for increased convenience, or lastly, whether you want to add a bathroom to the main bedroom, few things compare to the joy of receiving a new bathroom filled with the arrangement and furnishings that you need. To do this, though, you need new bathroom pipes to be installed.
A professional plumber is not usually needed to plumb a bathroom. You can actually plumb your bathroom using the following 8 important procedures in plumbing a bathroom.
-
Set The Location Of The Bathroom Fixtures
The first step to plumbing a bathroom is to select the direction of the shower, sink and toilet, and bath, which helps you to find out where to go.
-
Cut Out Floor Openings
Measure all cutting and drilling points carefully and then mark them so that you know where to cut and drill.
Fill in all the cut and boiling indicated for installation in order to prepare the floor.
- Shut The Restroom Off From The Water
Locate and then shut down bathroom water valves. This will allow you to work in dry situations with plumbing.
-
Run The Lines Of Hot & Cold Water
Installed in a conventional bathroom are a total of five water lines that include a cold water supply to the toilet, a cold, hot water supply to the sink, a bath, and a shower. Flexible lines from cold and hot water through to bathrooms and sink faucets are also required.
The water lines are typically installed under the floor, however, depending on your demands, they could also be run via the walls.
If the water pipes are properly mounted, smoothing the pipes, using sandpaper, and then soldering the pipes to the main water supply lines, by means of copper pipes as opposed to tubing.
-
Join These Drain Lines
A 1 1/2″ drain line is needed for the sink. You will need a drain line for the toilet between 3-4 inches, and a drain line for the bathroom.
Be sure that the pipe is downward toward the main drain line during the installation of the toilet drain.
-
Set Up The Bowl Of The Toilet
Put the closest waste pipe in the bowl with the flat rim. Use an adhesive to put the pipe rim so that the bolt slots are aligned with the toilet.
Then line the toilet with the water pipes, bolt & rim. Just sit in the toilet and manoeuvre it up and down to confirm that the toilet is positioned properly.
Secure the bolts and the washing machines once the bowl is in position.
Finally, attach the tank of the toilet to that same bowl using nuts. Put the water on and then roll over the bowl so that the toilet may be secured.
-
Set The Down
We’re going to plumb the sink next. Position the base of the sink.
Make and indicate where the bolt on the floor should go and drill a hole through the sink with a bolt and a nut on the floor.
Put the sink in the hot water lines and the cold water. The grips, stopper, and drain to the top of the sink will be installed then.
Put a sink on top of the base to secure the adapter and the threads in the drainpipe using adhesive.
-
Set Up The Shower Component Tub & Hook Up
Take the floor to find out where the drain is going. Run the drain line next and position it again.
Use glue to attach the drain line to a drain mostly on bath after the drain line is correctly aligned.
Place the bathroom in position and make sure this is even.
Your Bathroom Maintenance
At some time, your bathroom fittings may get obstructed owing to an accumulation of hair, grease, and soap scum. A blockage may produce pressure in the pipes if left unchecked, which may lead them to crash or explode. It is, therefore, necessary to deal with clogs sooner rather than later to avoid expensive repairs.
In order to decontaminate your pipes, simply put boiling water in the drain that can often be used to liquefy organic debris.
In the case that boiling warm water doesn’t work, you should also make sure to maintain a dip at hand to de-locate your fixtures.
Fill the sink half full of water to dip the sink, and then place a hand-held cup-shaped or complete dip over the drain. Next, carefully press down and suck and lift the plunger forcefully to clear the drain.
Put in a cup-like plunger, but it has a soft rubber flap that folds from the internal section of the cup to cover the drain, then slow down to produce the aspiration, then lift the plunger to clear the drain. To loosen a blocking toilet, place the toilet plunger.
It may also be worth investing in a drain snake, commonly known as an auger for more severe blockages that feed a long, flexible wire to attach or flush the block at the end of the pipes.
Use cautiously chemical drain cleaners because over time the tubes may be damaged.
Cover the drainage with strainers to collect hair and other objects and prevent them from entering the pipes and run hot water down after each usage to refresh fresh accumulation. To keep your drain clear.
